Agile Learning Academy represents a multidisciplinary, diverse and complementary group of Agile Practitioners that brings together the experience necessary to exceed our customer’s expectations. Our team brings experience in Agile Delivery, Enterprise Coaching, Training, Continuous Improvement, and Agile community outreach, as well as public speaking engagements. Our team firmly believes that adults learn through:
- Exposure to topics, discussion of their relevance, importance, and how they align to learning objectives;
- Fostering a personal connection to each topic, considering their own thoughts, experiences and baseline understanding. What does each topic mean to them?
- Developing an “in-depth understanding” (i.e., Deming’s Profound Knowledge), through the review of concepts, principles, and experiences associated with each topic;
- Developing shared experiences through collaboration with peers and colleagues as part of carefully designed classroom interactions and exercises that allow students to use the concepts/skills/tools learned in class in a safe environment. These exercises will be combinations of simulations, role play, and games, each chosen to best address the learning objectives of that specific learning objective;
- Reflection on the topic, reviewing lessons learned, and having opportunities to use the skills they have acquired.
Our team firmly believes that classroom participants who learn together will develop a shared understanding that will allow them to practice and experiment with topics together in a safe classroom environment. This will help participants achieve a shared understanding of key concepts, their applications and critical success factors, as well as any barriers to success. Participants will be afforded the opportunity to reflect on the topics, skills and tools learned in the classroom setting, and how to apply them in their job and everyday life. We also understand, and instill, a learning mindset as classroom participants are expected to grow and continue their learning journey well beyond the end of our training sessions.
